Almost perfect. Better than Day 1 -2 for my taste. Bought them both.
I purchased Day One 2’ at the same time I purchased Capture 365 to compare them for my needs. Both are good journaling applicstions, each with they’re own set of limitations. After using both on my Iphone, Ipad and Macbook Air I’ve decided to use Capture 365. It’s missing a couple of features that Day One 2’ has but for some reason I like the layout on Capture 365 better. Choosing applications that you like is very subjective. Everyone’s different, some may like one set of colors, layout and mechanics of the way an application works and someone else may like something different. I just like using ‘Capture 365’ better. The sync works great!,, The slideshow feature on entries is good as well. ‘Day One 2’ allows you to put photos within the journal. Capture 365 give you a slide show at the head of the entry. Both are good but I like the slide show at 2 second changes.
The only feature missing that I’d like to see added is the ability to select multiple tags,,,,, at the moment you can only select 1 tag to display. I’d like to select a range that contans 2 or 3 tags,,, something that ‘Day One 2’ can do. I’ve put in a feature request. Hopefully Sockii will add that request soon as I understand they’ve had a number of requests for that feature. (Come on Sockii,,, lets have a multiple tag select feature!) OH Yeah,,,, Sockii has good good support. If you send them an email they’ll respond in a couple of days,,,, but then,,,, the developers of ‘Day One 2” responded to a question I had also.
Capture 365 — Bought it,,, Like it, Use it.
If you’re starting a journal you might think of purchasing both ‘Capture 365’ and ‘Day One 2’ so you can compare them. It won’t cost much for an application you may use every day. Once you decide,,, purchase the OSX app for the journal you’ll be using. (both journal applications have an OSX companion app that costs more than the iphone app.)
